3. Thulani Malinga – 42 Years and Eight Days Old
Thulani MalingaBetter known by his nickname of ‘Sugar Boy’, Thulani Malinga was born in Ladysmith, South Africa on the 11th December 1955. After a surprisingly long amateur career that saw him rack up 185 victories from 195 fights, Malinga turned pro and went on to become a two-time WBC Super Middleweight champion.

The second occasion on which ‘Sugar Boy’ won the title came on the 19th December 1997, when the South African shocked the British world champion Robin Reid in Millwall just over a week after he had celebrated his 42nd birthday.
