The new ball bowler and wicket-keeper combination of one of the most successful England test teams of the modern era, peerless swing bowler Jimmy Anderson and reliable Sussex and England keeper Matt Prior combined for 68 caught behind dismissals in 68 tests between 2007 and 2014.

This prolific combination played an integral role in England’s Ashes victories at home in 2009 and in Australia in 2010-11, as well as in seeing the England test team rise to number one in the world rankings later in 2011. The partnership came to a close in 2014 however, when Prior began to suffer recurrent injuries and lost his spot in the side to Jos Buttler and the gloveman subsequently went on to retire from all forms of cricket in June 2015.
